Can you make a difference in Barnacre-with-Bonds?

The Barnacre-with-Bonds Parish Council are currently seeking a candidate for co-option on to the Council. Any persons wishing to be considered should contact the Clerk in the first instance for an application form. To be considered candidates must meet at least one of the following conditions and be over the age of 18, qualified by virtue as a British or Commonwealth citizen or citizen of The Republic of Ireland:

1. You are registered as a local government elector for the Parish on the current Electoral Register.

2. During the whole of the previous 12 months occupied as tenant or owner any land or other premises in the Parish.

3. Have had your principal or only place of work in the previous 12 months in the Parish.

4. Have resided either in the Parish or within 3 miles thereof during the previous 12 months.

And is not disqualified from holding office by reason of any disqualification set out in Section 80 of The Local Government Act 1972.

Closing date for applications 26/08/2026.

All applicants will be invited to attend an informal interview.
